Personal Data Processing Policy
In short: you can take the test without telling us anything about yourself. Your name and email address are needed only if you want your result emailed to you or if you write to us. This data is used for what you asked for and deleted at your request.
Who processes the data
The data of visitors to disc-test.org is processed by the site’s owner: Manukyan Armen · Taxpayer ID (INN) 771583655604. You can write to us at info@disc-test.org or via the “Contact” page.
What data we use
You don’t need to enter anything to take the test. During the test your answers are saved, and after it your result, chosen language and a note that you have seen the cookie notice. All of this is kept in your browser’s local storage. When you first open the site on a given day, an anonymous visit note goes to the site’s server: the site language only; the server records it with the time it arrived, and your browser remembers the date so the note is not sent again that day. We use these notes to count how many people visit the site. When you start the test, an anonymous start note goes to the site’s server: the site language only. When you finish the test, one more anonymous record goes there: your resulting profile and the site language — without your name, email, answers or result code. We use these records to count how often the test is started and finished and which profiles come up more often; a record cannot be linked to you, and no IP address is stored with it. When you click “Save as PDF”, your answers and the test date — without your name or email — are sent to the site’s server, which builds the summary report file, returns it to you and stores nothing.
Entering your name and email address on the result screen is optional: you do so if you want the report by email. Before you send the form, we ask you to tick the box confirming your consent to the processing of personal data. After that, your name, email address, language, test date and result are passed to the site’s server: it emails you your result and stores this data in the results database.
Where the data is stored and who receives it
The results database is on a server that the site owner rents from a hosting provider. Emails are sent by a mail service. These companies process the data on our instructions and only to keep the site running. The email goes to the address you entered yourself. The data is not passed or sold to third parties for their own purposes.
Only people who ticked the separate consent box — in the result form or in the newsletter sign-up form on the home page — receive our newsletter. After the sign-up form, you receive an email with a confirmation link: without confirmation no newsletter is sent, and the address is deleted after 7 days. The database stores the fact of consent, its date and its wording, and your email address, name (if you entered it) and language are used to send you emails from disc-test.org: DISC materials, new tests, career growth and job-search tips, site news and promotional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any email or by writing to info@disc-test.org.
The hosting provider receives standard technical request data: IP address, browser type, page address. Fonts are served from this site itself. Visit statistics are collected by a web analytics system: it receives visit data, namely the page address, the referrer, device and browser type, and a recording of on-page actions; the name and email fields are excluded from the recording. On the result screen, the page address contains the result code: your answers, the test date and your name if you entered it, but not your email. You can stop the collection in your browser settings or with a tracker blocker. No advertising trackers are used.
Legal basis and retention periods
We process a result sent by email on the basis of your consent and keep it for three years from the date it was sent or until you withdraw your consent. Newsletter data is processed on the basis of a separate consent, until you unsubscribe; an address whose subscription has not been confirmed is kept for 7 days. Messages from the contact form are processed on the basis of consent and kept for one year after our reply.
When the period expires or you withdraw your consent, the data is deleted from the database. It disappears from backups as they are refreshed, no later than six months afterwards.
The result link
The report link contains your answers in encoded form, plus your name and email address if you entered them. Anyone with the link can open the report, so share it only with people you trust.
Contact form
Messages from the contact form — name, email address, text and attached files — are emailed by the site’s server to info@disc-test.org and are used only to reply to you. They are not written to the results database: the server keeps only a record of your consent, namely its date, your email address and the wording of the consent. The attached files are not stored anywhere except in that email.
Buying the in-depth profile
If you buy the in-depth DISC profile, we process your email address, your name (if you gave it), the test result the report is prepared from, and order details: the date, amount, payment number and payment status. We need this data to prepare the report and send it to you, to answer your enquiries and to process a refund. The basis for processing is the contract you enter into when you pay for the service under the terms of sale; no separate consent is required for this.
Payments are processed by Prodamus, our payment service provider. You enter your card details on its secure payment page: we do not receive or store them. Prodamus receives the amount, the order number and your email address, to which it sends the receipt.
The report is generated on the site’s server and emailed to you from info@disc-test.org. The finished report is not kept on the server: if needed, it is generated again. Order details are kept for five years after payment: they are needed to resend the report, answer enquiries, make refunds and keep records. Payment information that the law requires to be kept longer is deleted when the required period ends.
If you start a purchase but do not pay, we keep your email address, test result and order details for 30 days and then delete them. During that time one reminder email with a payment link may be sent to the address you gave. The basis is the steps you took toward entering into the contract.
Your rights and deleting your data
You can withdraw your consent at any time, find out what data of yours we hold, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to info@disc-test.org or via the “Contact” page: we will reply within ten working days.
To delete the data on your device, clear the site’s data in your browser settings or press “Take the test again.” The result email is kept in your mailbox.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies: for the items above it uses the browser’s local storage, a technology with the same purpose. The web analytics system sets its own cookies to tell visitors apart. That is why the notice is shown once on your first visit.
