Short answers to what people most often ask before the test and after the result.
How long does the test take?
The test has 24 blocks of four statements. It usually takes 8–12 minutes. Don't overthink it: your first reaction is the most accurate, and you can change a choice until you press “Next”.
Is the test really free?
Yes, completely: no sign-up, no hidden charges and no paid “extended reports”. The result appears on screen right after the last block and is emailed to the address you provide.
What do the letters D, I, S, C mean?
D is Dominance (results and control), I is Influence (people and enthusiasm), S is Steadiness (support and stability), C is Conscientiousness (accuracy and quality). Everyone has all four styles, but to different degrees.
How accurate is the result?
DISC is a self-report, so accuracy depends on how honestly you answered and whether you thought about your real behavior at work rather than the behavior you would like. A short questionnaire gives a reliable indication of your dominant style, but not a precise measurement. If you doubt the result, take the test again in a few days.
What is a secondary style, and what are profiles like DI or SC?
The dominant style is the one with the highest score. If the second-highest style is also pronounced (at least 40% of the dominant one), it counts as secondary and adds its shade. That gives 16 profiles: four pure ones (D, I, S, C) and twelve combinations such as DI or SC.
What does a “balanced profile” mean?
No style stands out noticeably. Most often this means behavioral flexibility: you switch between styles easily depending on the situation. Sometimes it reflects uncertain answers. Try taking the test again, answering faster and with a specific work role in mind.
Can a whole team take the test?
Yes. Send your colleagues the link to the site; on the result screen each of them gets a link and a code, so ask them to forward those to you. In the admin panel (link in the footer) the codes are collected into a table you can copy into Excel. The table is stored only in your browser.
Where does the result go and who can see it?
The result is shown on screen, saved in your browser and sent to the email address you entered before the test. Nobody else sees it unless you share the report link yourself. See the Privacy page for details.
Can I take the test again?
Yes, at any time: press “Take the test again” on the result screen. A profile can change with role, experience and circumstances, so it is useful to compare results after a year.
How is DISC different from MBTI and the Big Five?
DISC describes observable behavior at work on four scales and works well for team conversations. MBTI sorts people into 16 preference types. The Big Five is the scientific standard for measuring personality traits, but its results are harder to turn into practical recommendations. The models don't contradict each other; they answer different questions.
